Season 5 - Round reports

The opening round of season 5 didn't disappoint with a lot of drivers finding the twisty section of the Mid Ohio full circuit layout tough to handle in their first night back from the extended break. Jack Boyd brushed off the cob webs and showed his class in winning both races. Race two was a slightly tougher ask from the drivers with a rain shower just prior to the start ensuring the track would remain damp for the entirety of the 18 lap race. Moz Moroz kept Jack on his toes and fought hard for his two second places. Henry Fenson completed the podium places in race 1 while in race 2 it was Wayne Losh grabbing the third spot. Some strategic driving from Lucas Baker was rewarded with a couple of top 10 placings which was great to see. Round two is to be held at the famous Donnington circuit where we will be running the Grand Prix layout for our sprint round.
Round one - Mid Ohio

The first of this seasons sprint rounds greeted the drivers as they tackled the challenges of the Donington Park Grand prix circuit in the UK. Jack Boyd quickly stamped his authority with two wins from the first two races but had to settled for second in the final race as Moz Moroz got the elbows out and managed to hold off the fast charging defending champion. In the AM class it was Lucas Baker’s night as he finished race 1 in third outright. Strong results in the remaining two races would ensure Lucas finished the round as the highest points scorer in his class. Joshua Woolley had a very consistent night grabbing podiums in two of the three races. Overall a great night of racing with many drivers commenting on how much they enjoyed the return of the sprint race format.
